Antonio Ventimiglia’s Sculptural Vision — 660 Lexington Avenue

In a city defined by glass towers and relentless verticality, Antonio Ventimiglia and his Milan‑ and New York‑based studio S20M have unveiled a project that feels both timeless and daring. Rising at the corner of Lexington Avenue and 55th Street, 660 Lexington Avenue is a limestone landmark that reasserts masonry as a language of permanence in Midtown Manhattan.

A New Language of Design

Ventimiglia’s aesthetic is rooted in Italian design culture—clarity, proportion, and restraint—yet expressed through contemporary innovation. He describes his approach as a “new language,” blending traditional Italian luxury with advanced technologies. At 660 Lexington, this manifests in a façade shaped by subtraction: rounded corners, recessed apertures, and sculpted depth that reinterpret the elegance of Art Deco heritage through a modern lens.

The building’s monolithic limestone base transitions into a ventilated porcelain façade system, balancing solidity with performance. At the crown, the eleventh‑floor loggia and mechanical bulkhead are enveloped in an anodized metal mesh by Metalltech, a shimmering veil that filters light and shadow, lending atmospheric lightness to the skyline.

The Manhattan Collection

660 Lexington represents the second installment in S20M’s “Manhattan Collection,” a series of five residential developments unified by Italian design heritage and formal clarity. Each project is conceived as a sculptural presence—timeless, non‑aggressive, and deeply physical. Ventimiglia emphasizes resonance over spectacle, permanence over trend.

“We pursued an architecture of restraint and resonance, with gentle curves of solid stone, where the experience of the building is deeply physical: found in the way light traces the façade, the cadence of the vertical openings, and the balance between mass and void,” says Ventimiglia.

Interiors by Paris Forino

Inside, acclaimed designer Paris Forino has envisioned 31 residences that capture old New York charm with a softer, modern touch. White Oak flooring laid in chevron patterns, Brazilian Grey Soapstone kitchens, and Calacatta Vision marble bathrooms create a palette of natural, honest materials. Arched openings and tailored millwork recall classic New York elegance, while expansive layouts and terraced apartments offer a sense of retreat above the city.

The Tower Collection crowns the building with four full‑floor penthouses and a glittering triplex called The Crown, each offering outdoor space and panoramic views of Manhattan’s icons.

A Retreat Above Midtown

Amenities are curated with intimacy in mind: a meditative lobby, rooftop lounge with outdoor kitchen, and a covered loggia with fireplace and plantings. Wellness facilities include a cold plunge, sauna, steam room, and fitness center, while 24‑hour concierge service ensures a seamless living experience.

A Modern Landmark

With sales launched by the Eklund | Gomes Team and Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, 660 Lexington is positioned as both a sculptural landmark and a boutique condominium. Initial prices begin at $1,650,000, offering one‑ to four‑bedroom residences in a building that feels like a love letter to Midtown’s glamour.
