Audrey Werro is Welcomed as a new OMEGA Ambassador
One of Switzerland's brightest middle-distance runners is joining OMEGA as a new brand ambassador. Specializing in the 800 metres event, Audrey Werro is a rising talent in the world of athletics, bringing speed, tactical precision, and composure to her sport.
To officially announce the new partnership, Audrey visited OMEGA’s watchmaking HQ in Biel, Switzerland, getting close to the craftsmanship and heritage that has defined the Swiss brand since 1848.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA says, “We’re very excited to welcome Audrey Werro to OMEGA. Records have been falling since she began her athletics career and we can see a very bright future ahead. As a Swiss athlete, who demonstrates high quality and relentless work ethic, we believe she aligns perfectly with OMEGA’s own values and legacy inathletics.”
During her visit, Audrey said, “Amongst athletes, OMEGA is such a highly respected name. We all know the brand as a trusted timekeeper and watchmaker, so I feel very proud to be joining the ambassador family, especially as they represent my home country of Switzerland.”
Following an excellent early career, in which she won multiple Under-20 and Under-23 medals, while setting numerous national records, Audrey Werro has entered senior competition as one of the most elite performers.
2026 has been a breakthrough year. Competing at the World Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland, she secured the 800m silver medal, while just a few months later at the Diamond League in Stockholm, she won the outdoor 800m event in a new Swiss record time of 1:53.98. This was the third fastest time in history, and the fastest for 43 years.
She recently beat that time again, achieving 1:53.80 in a new Swiss national record time at the Diamond League in Paris.
OMEGA has a long history in athletics. As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, the brand’s timing expertise has since extended into many other competitions, including the Paralympic Games and the Diamond League. Through this experience, the brand has grown its ambassador family over the years, welcoming some of the most dominant and successful athletes in the sport.
Audrey Werro competed for Switzerland at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and now represents the next generation of inspiring young stars. Her journey towards LA28 qualification is expected to have many more highlights to come.
