The property dates back to 1699 when German settler Christoffel Hazenwinkel made his way to South Africa’s Cape.
The property is a tapestry woven with threads of heritage, resilience, and transformation, moving from family to family. Each family leaving their indelible mark on its legacy.
In 2019 Hazendal House underwent a transformative restoration, spearheaded by a team of dedicated preservationists and architects. Meticulously preserving its original charm while introducing modern amenities, the restoration breathed new life into the estate, ensuring its continued relevance in the 21st century.
