Eugenio Recuenco Photography

I have a hero. And I have not shared his work with Dossier readers. I have been following him for a decade. Silently. Holding him close to my heart. I even did the fan email thing. He responded! Sometimes something is so special you just want to keep it to yourself. But I cannot be selfish anymore. The work of Eugenio Recuenco is so sublime, I have to give up my silent hero worshiping and invite you to share in this beauty.

This Spanish photographer is well known in the fashion and beauty industry in Europe, and has shot many TV commercials for brands such as Loewe and Nina Ricci. (Look on his site for his Vimeo clips) He has won numerous awards, and has exhibited extensively. I am not quite sure why he is not so well known in the rest of the world. This is what I do not understand about publications such as Vogue. Why is he not featured? I am dumb struck.

The meticulous planning of his work, the whimsical sets, the lighting! I can go on and on. The creative process of new ideas, and story telling is unsurpassed. I have no words. But look for yourselves.
