In a collision of raw edge and refined engineering, G-STAR RAW unveils THE DENIM 002, the second chapter in its experimental denim series — this time in collaboration with South London’s cult womenswear label, KNWLS. The result? A pair of low-rise jeans that channel motorcycle grit and sculptural sensuality, designed to disrupt the status quo.
Crafted with G-STAR’s signature anatomic principles, THE DENIM 002 hugs the body’s natural contours with precision. The silhouette is straight-leg, but the details are anything but straightforward: external binding, adjustable waist buckles, and back zips that transform the leg into a bootcut flare. Washed in a custom-developed finish that evokes the patina of engine oil and asphalt, the jeans feel like they’ve lived a thousand lives — and are ready for a thousand more.
Founded by Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault, KNWLS has become synonymous with disruptive femininity— think corseted silhouettes, layered textures, and a rebellious spirit that’s seduced icons like Dua Lipa and Doja Cat. Their approach to denim is tactile and unapologetic, blending sensuality with strength.
“Working with G-STAR was a deep dive into denim’s DNA,” say Knowles and Arsenault. “The level of craftsmanship and utility in their archive gave us new tools to shape our vision.”
