Last night in London, the Fashion Awards gave the industry its first look at a new chapter between H&M and Stella McCartney. The collaboration arrives almost twenty years after their first partnership and opens with a refreshed focus on conscious design and the future of sustainability in fashion.
A handful of global stars stepped onto the red carpet in pieces from the upcoming collection. Amelia Gray, Anitta, Emily Ratajkowski, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Bel Priestley, Alton Mason and Kiara Nirghin showcased silhouettes that nod to McCartney’s archives while offering a preview of what shoppers can expect when the collection lands in stores in Autumn 2026.
Speaking on the collaboration, Stella McCartney shared her excitement about revisiting her archives and returning to H&M after two decades. She noted the joy and energy of reworking past designs and reflected on how far the industry has moved toward sustainability and cruelty free practices while acknowledging the continued work ahead. She added that real change happens when progress is pushed from both the inside and the outside and expressed her belief in influencing the industry from within to move it forward.
This collaboration introduces a deeper layer to H&M’s designer partnerships with a renewed emphasis on responsible materials and a dedicated Insights Board that brings together industry voices to explore new ideas, solutions and conversations around sustainability. It signals a shared intention from both H&M and Stella McCartney to keep transparency, animal welfare and long-term impact at the centre of the dialogue.
The Stella McCartney x H&M collection will launch in Autumn 2026.
