Investec makes its mark at the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz in Switzerland
Investec brought its iconic zebra to the snow-covered town of St. Moritz, Switzerland last weekend, sponsoring a team at the 41st Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz – one of the most prestigious fixtures on the international sporting and social calendar.
The leading international bank and wealth manager’s participation underscores its growing business and brand presence in Switzerland, widely regarded as the home of international private banking and wealth management.

Team Investec secured a commendable third-place finish, defeating Team St. Moritz 6-4½ in their final match on the frozen lake. The achievement was particularly noteworthy, as it marked the first time the all Brazilian-born team had competed on snow.
Founded in 1985 by the ‘Godfather of Snow Polo’ Reto Gaudenzi, the three-day tournament delivers an estimated CHF25 million to the local St. Moritz economy and boasts a global reach of approximately two billion people across marketing and communications platforms.
Beyond the sport, the Snow Polo World Cup is renowned for its blend of elegance, fashion and spectacle – a setting in which Investec’s distinctive zebra made a subtle yet unmistakable appearance, from brand touches to bespoke accessories.
