Jaeger-LeCoultre Signs Robert Pattinson as Its Newest Global Ambassador
Jaeger-LeCoultre has picked its next leading man, and it's a fitting match. The Swiss watchmaker has named British actor Robert Pattinson its newest Global Ambassador, with a campaign debuting in mid-September 2026. The pairing leans away from pure star power toward something more low-key, built on a shared instinct for reinvention and substance over noise.
The watch on his wrist
The campaign shows Pattinson wearing the Master Control Chronometre Perpetual Calendar, a model produced and assembled at the Manufacture-Atelier in the Vallée de Joux. The blue-gray dial and steel bracelet stand out against relaxed charcoal separates, and the studio setting, full of lights, printed material and mirrors, gives the images the feel of a creative project still in progress. Titled 'Master of Precision,' the campaign pairs Pattinson with the Master Control Chronometre as a nod to discipline and attention to detail.
This isn't the first time he's worn the piece publicly. Pattinson appeared at the 2026 Academy Awards in a then-unreleased rose-gold version of the same watch, which drew attention before Jaeger-LeCoultre officially introduced the new Master Control Chronometre collection in April. The Oscars were essentially a soft launch, and this campaign makes it official, with the Master Control Chronometre Perpetual Calendar now the first watch tied to his ambassador role.
A connection that goes back to childhood
The story has a sweet origin. Speaking to GQ, Pattinson recalled that at 14 he wore his mother's Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso to school, joking that it made him feel like a "fancy pants." Decades later, he's the face of the brand. In his official statement, Pattinson said a great watch goes beyond precision to character, craftsmanship and the story of how it's made, and that the brand embodies a kind of quiet mastery.
On the brand side, CEO Jérôme Lambert described Pattinson as a rare mix of artistic depth, curiosity and authenticity, with an independent spirit that lines up with the Maison's values.
Why it works
Jaeger-LeCoultre has serious technical credentials. Known in the industry as the "Watchmaker of Watchmakers," it has created more than 1,400 calibres and holds over 430 patents, and it historically supplied movements to other prestigious watch houses. Yet the brand has always favored restraint over flash, and that tracks with Pattinson's career. After global fame as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga, he skipped the predictable blockbuster route to become one of modern cinema's most intriguing leading men.
The timing is good too. Recent work includes Bong Joon Ho's Mickey 17 and Lynne Ramsay's Die My Love, followed by 2026 releases The Drama with Zendaya and Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. He also leads the upcoming Primetime, playing Chris Hansen and producing, appears in Dune: Part Three, and is currently filming The Batman: Part II.
Good company
Pattinson joins a roster of fellow ambassadors including IU, Jackson Lee, Kim Woo-Bin, Zhang Ziyi and Lenny Kravitz, along with friends of the house like Omar Sy and Joshua Hong.
The takeaway
Jaeger-LeCoultre's choice of Pattinson is less about chasing headlines and more about finding someone who fits the brand's personality: technically serious, quietly confident, and comfortable taking the less obvious route. The partnership started with a teaser on the Oscars red carpet, became official this September, and now has a flagship watch to anchor it. With a packed slate of films rolling out through 2026 and beyond, Pattinson will have plenty of chances to keep that blue-gray dial in the spotlight. For a kid who once wore his mom's Reverso to school to feel fancy, it's a pretty neat full-circle moment.
