Jumeirah Sets Sail: Luxury Hospitality Brand Launches First Yachting Experience with Iconic Maltese Falcon
Jumeirah is expanding beyond hotels. The Dubai-based luxury hospitality group, which operates 31 properties across four continents, is launching its first maritime venture by adding the Maltese Falcon to its Privé collection—a move that positions the brand squarely in the ultra-luxury yachting space.
The Maltese Falcon isn't just any yacht. Since launching in 2006, this 288-foot sailing superyacht has collected more than 18 major awards and remains one of the most technologically advanced vessels on the water. Its standout feature is the DynaRig system: three rotating carbon-fiber masts with computer-controlled square sails that deploy 2,400 square meters of canvas in six minutes flat. It's engineering as spectacle.
The yacht accommodates 12 guests across six staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with a private VIP deck. Design highlights include a three-deck atrium built around the main mast, a rotating circular sunbed on the flybridge, and an outdoor cinema that projects films onto the lower sail. Wellness amenities include dedicated spa spaces and a fitness studio, while the water-sports inventory covers jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment.
Jumeirah's first voyage departs Antigua in December 2025. From there, the Maltese Falcon will follow a seasonal rotation: spring and summer itineraries trace Mediterranean coastlines from Spain's Balearic Islands through the French Riviera, Italy's Amalfi Coast and Sardinia, then on to Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Türkiye. Winter schedules return to the Caribbean, with stops in Antigua, The Bahamas, Saint Martin, and St. Barth.
This marks the second experience in Jumeirah's Privé collection, which focuses on exclusive, experiential luxury beyond traditional hotel stays. The brand's move into yachting reflects a broader industry trend of hospitality groups diversifying into high-end travel experiences that extend their reach beyond fixed properties.
Voyage on the Maltese Falcon becomes the second experience in the Jumeirah Privé collection, alongside Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania.
