Loewe High Frequency

Loewe High Frequency

Loewe is a very underrated fashion brand in our estimation. For years they have been known for their handbags, but with Jonathan Anderson, they have pushed up the frequency. This year, with no fashion shows held, have opted to showcase their new collection via printed matter: a newspaper supplement released globally in a selection of different broadsheet publications. Centered around a character study, by photographer Fumiko Imano, of the model Freja Beha Erichsen.

They also have the best selling author Danielle Steele releasing chapters of her new book on their site.

“ Her latest work, neither directly referenced by nor referential to Jonathan Anderson or LOEWE, takes place in the fashion industry, its heroine the editor of a fictional fashion publication. That this plot needs no further explanation is an example of fashion’s pop-culture currency: documentaries and feature fi lms have, over the past decade, broadened public perceptions of what was previously considered a niche interest. Fashion has been democratised, in the modern world, because its images can be consumed by all - it is both a part of culture and, in itself, pop culture. Often showcased online, or via social media, those images however can be fleeting.”
