Loro Piana Spring/Summer 2025 Women’s Collection
The Loro Piana Spring/Summer 2025 Women’s Collection marks a new chapter of the celebration of 100 years of history and heritage, with linen: the Maison’s quintessential summer fabric, synonymous with ease, lightness, effortlessness. It is linen interpreted in the Loro Piana way, through a distinctive savoir-faire and a personal sense of elegance: blended with heirloom fibres, declined in an effortless silhouette with shapes and details that owe much to the unique style of Sergio and Pier Luigi Loro Piana. With the 150 years old legacy and rich archives of textiles of Solbiati, a renowned linen company acquired by the Maison over ten years ago, fabric remains the start of the Loro Piana journey in shaping a vision that is both timeless and contemporary, and in which touch and texture are as important as the way clothes dialogue with the body and with life.
The story follows an organic flow that gets lighter and lighter as spring progresses into summer, with a newly found tingle suffused throughout and a sense of nighttime luster added to the range of expressions. The elongated silhouette is defined by outerwear and coats that are precise in cut as they are soft in volume, and by tailoring with a tall slant. The Loro Piana take on ladylike, introduced last season, carries over in the small jackets paired with knee-length skirts, in the long liquid skirts, in the fluid knitted coats paired with matching trousers. As ever, an outdoorsy spirit is juxtaposed with an elegant sense of femininity, defining a composite harmony. The iconic Traveller field jacket is reinvented in a Pecan Syrup hue in plongé leather and the Belt pattern, a symbol first found as the lining inside the Horsey® jacket, is transformed into full looks. The innovative Abaca - a mix of banana leaf fibre and cashmere adds texture. Pleated skirts and airy blouses have a svelte gentleness, while campo di lino flowers are turned into inky prints with a pictorial charm. Washed Denim Silk pieces are sturdy as they are stylish, just as nautical inspirations come to the fore as another connection with the natural world.
Loro Piana’s signature ease and the enduring play-off of masculine and feminine carries over in the eveningwear, which is elongated and fluid, presented exclusively in classic notes of black and white. Hats seal the whole message, either in pillbox shape, bucket, or in soft-brimmed versions. Jewellery adds a touch of feminine decoration with bonbons inspired by the charms of the Extra Bag combine delicate leather with brass. Linen flower necklaces and pins topped with the linen flower bud emphatically underline the Maison’s heritage and the collection’s inspiration.
Leather goods see the launch of the Ghiera Tote, with a signature leather grid and closure to modulate the volume. The Bobbin bucket is introduced together with the Extra Drawstring backpack. The elongated Extra Evening Clutch complements the after dark looks, the Bale bag in jacquard wool features an elegant landscape print. The Alba mule and the Sergio loafer emerge as foundational shoes for women, with the John boots serving as a versatile solution for in between months.
A collection of sophisticated foulards pay homage to the Maison's textile tradition through heritage motifs, iconic animal, botanical, knots and knitting motifs, each telling the story of Loro Piana in a distinct way. Eyewear is highlighted this season with a collection of high-performing sunglasses with advanced lenses and elegant signature details, meticulously crafted from premium acetate and metals in Japan by master artisans. The frames are named after Loro Piana iconic garments such as the Traveller, the André, the Icer, and the Roadster.
From an exploration of matter, a holistic sense of style ensues.
