Maison De Plage, Umdloti Beach House
If you do not want a holiday experience that is more “home” than “hotel”, the Maison De Plage is for you. Whilst being relaxed, this three bedroom house overlooking sea on the hill, is luxurious, chic. Perfect to rent out as family or with friends, private pool, breakfast on the deck. Couches beg to be slouched on with books, long lazy daze, chilled wine and a dip or two in the pool. The monotone and subdued interiors just enhances the feel of total relaxation. Bedrooms are private, plush and spacious. And exquisitely appointed.
Close to the shops in Balito, and a mere walk to Umdloti main beach, Umhlanga is only a seven minute drive away. So shopping and restaurants - sorted. Umdloti has great places to eat such as Bel Punto, La Casa Nostra, Foam, Java Cafe. The house has a contemporary, fully equipped kitchen for home cooked meals.
The owner Lindsay Mason, a sparkling beauty is the perfect host, casual and caring. Her breakfast ranks high on the best we have experienced. We don’t know how she does it, but we hope you like bacon! It is an extra service, but worth the spoil.
A property can take on the spirit of the owner, and we conclude, although the house is perfect, there is a sense of calm, family, rest and peace, that Lindsay brings. We left restored.
