POLO South Africa AW’26: Merino Wool Reimagined

For Autumn/Winter 2026, POLO South Africa unveils a Merino Wool Collection that draws inspiration from the vast, untamed landscapes of the Karoo.

Creative Director Alia Peer has reimagined Polo’s archives into elevated modern staples, each crafted from South African Merino wool — a fibre prized for its softness, breathability, and resilience. The palette leans into earthy tones: ochres, deep browns, and muted greens that echo the Karoo’s horizon at dusk.

The silhouettes balance timeless tailoring with contemporary ease. Oversized coats with sculptural collars, knitwear that layers seamlessly, and trousers cut with understated precision all reflect Peer’s vision of modern luxury rooted in place. Each piece feels both familiar and new — a nod to Polo’s heritage, yet distinctly of this moment.

What sets the collection apart is its commitment to South African provenance. By foregrounding Merino wool sourced locally, POLO SA not only celebrates the country’s textile heritage but also underscores sustainability and authenticity. The garments are designed to endure, much like the landscapes that inspired them.
