The Future of Wine Is Here—And It's Alcohol-Free

Tomorrow Cellars is redefining non-alcoholic wine with authentic, winemaker-crafted bottles that prove you don't need the hangover to enjoy the ritual

The non-alcoholic wine market is exploding. Projections show it could hit anywhere from $3.7 billion to $7.6 billion globally by 2030-2035, with U.S. consumer spending already up 27%. The driver? Health-conscious drinkers who want premium alternatives without compromising on quality or experience.

Enter Tomorrow Cellars, a California-based brand that's raising the bar for what NA wine can be. Unlike the lab-made substitutes flooding grocery store shelves, Tomorrow Cellars takes a radically simple approach: make exceptional wine first, then gently remove the alcohol. The result maintains the natural flavors, aromas, and complexity that wine lovers actually care about—no added sugars, no weird additives, just sustainably farmed grapes and traditional winemaking.

From Napa Neighbors to NA Pioneers

The brand launched in 2024, born from conversations between unlikely co-founders: Tracy Sweeney, a wine industry veteran, alongside her Napa Valley neighbors David Risher (CEO of Lyft) and his wife, author Jen Risher. The question driving them was straightforward: "What if people could enjoy the richness and ritual of wine, without the alcohol?"

It's a question resonating with a growing demographic of intentional drinkers—people who love wine culture but want to participate on their own terms, whether that's cutting back, taking a break, or opting out of alcohol entirely.

What's in the Bottle

Tomorrow Cellars launched with three expressions, each crafted to stand on its own merits:

Red Blend: Built on Petite Sirah and enhanced with a custom botanical extract developed by Ian Blessing, former sommelier at The French Laundry. It's robust and lush—think blackberry, cassis, warm spices—with enough structure to pair with braised lamb or roast chicken.

Rhône Blanc: Crisp and refreshing, showing ripe pear, honeysuckle, and lemon zest. Works beautifully with manchego and quince paste, oven-roasted salmon, or solo on a sunny afternoon.

Sparkling Blanc de Rhône: Zippy bubbles with jasmine notes and a grapefruit finish. Made for oysters and good company.

Why This Matters

The NA wine space has historically struggled with authenticity. Too many products taste like juice or tea masquerading as wine. Tomorrow Cellars is banking on the opposite approach: traditional winemaking techniques that honor the grape, the terroir, and the craft—just without the final alcohol component.

It's wine for people who actually like wine. And in a market projected to grow exponentially over the next decade, that authenticity might be exactly what sets Tomorrow Cellars apart.
