TUDOR Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow”
TUDOR Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” – Built for the Demands of the Road
Fabian Cancellara knows the Tour de France like few others. Over his career, he wore the yellow jersey for 29 days and secured eight stage victories. His return to the race this year, now as a team owner, reflects a clear principle: progress is the result of focus and long-term effort. On his wrist is the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow”—a watch that connects his past as a competitor with his present role as mentor and leader. Only 300 numbered pieces will be produced. Number 7 already belongs to Cancellara.
Made for Performance
Cycling at the professional level pushes both body and equipment to the limit. Designed with these realities in mind, the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” features a lightweight, matte-finished carbon composite case with fixed strap bars and titanium components that enhance durability. It’s a tool built for action, engineered to function in the unpredictable and physically demanding world of elite racing.
Chronograph for Cyclists
Most chronographs are designed for automotive use. TUDOR’s approach with the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” is tailored for the speeds a cyclist reaches. Its spiral chronograph scale—printed along the dial’s rehaut—lets riders check average speed at a glance, helping translate effort into data, even during a race.
Legibility and Function, First
The 43mm case houses a matte black dial accented in yellow. TUDOR’s signature square hour markers and “Snowflake” hands are made from luminescent ceramic composite to ensure readability in low-light or fast-moving conditions. The fixed bezel features a 60-minute scale, reinforcing the watch’s functionality on and off the bike.
Strap and Fit
The one-piece fabric strap is a result of TUDOR’s long-standing partnership with French weavers Julien Faure. Woven on 19th-century Jacquard looms, the technical jacquard fabric delivers security, breathability, and comfort—key attributes for any cyclist wearing a watch through hours of demanding terrain.
Movement and Build
Inside, the Manufacture Calibre MT5813 powers hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date functions. This movement includes a silicon balance spring, a 70-hour power reserve, and a COSC-certified precision range between -2 and +4 seconds per day. The calibre—developed in partnership with Breitling—reflects TUDOR’s focus on mechanical reliability and endurance.
Built in Le Locle
Every TUDOR watch is assembled and tested in the brand’s facility in Le Locle, Switzerland. Opened in 2021, the 5,500-square-metre site integrates craftsmanship, automation, and quality control, all under one roof. Close ties to the adjacent Kenissi Manufacture, where the movements are produced, reinforce TUDOR’s vertical integration and control over essential components.
