CAPE GRACE UNVEILS ITS SIGNATURE SUITE

Following its celebrated reopening in May 2024, this month Cape Grace unveils the pinnacle of its transformation with the launch of its new signature Cape Grace Suite; an extraordinary 2,906 sqft two-bedroom residence with sweeping 360 views of Table Mountain.

Situated on Cape Town’s iconic V&A Waterfront, the Cape Grace Suite offers the perfect private retreat ideal for families or friends who are in town, all whilst placing them on the doorstep of the city’s finest cultural, culinary, and historical landmarks. Its expansive terrace provides breathtaking views of the bustling Marina, while French doors flood the space with natural light. Designed to offer both relaxation and entertainment, the suite features a stylish lounge, an elegant dining area, and a private bar complete with a butler’s pantry.

As part of the hotel’s year-long transformation, the Cape Grace Suite has been curated by South African art and design consultant, Lezanne van Heerden. Renowned for her ability to tell compelling stories through art, Van Heerden has thoughtfully selected striking works by contemporary South African creatives that reflect the country’s diverse heritage, from its landscapes and languages to its rich cultural tapestry. Highlights of the collection include the intricate printmaking and tapestry of Benjamin Stanwix, Cathy Abraham’s evocative oil and copper leaf paintings, and Chantell Lungiswa Joe’s striking stoneware clay sculptures. Each piece contributes to a contemporary, refined aesthetic that seamlessly connects the suite to Cape Town’s natural surroundings.

In keeping with Cape Grace’s reputation to thoughtful hospitality, the suite provides an array of exclusive concierge services and experiences. Guests enjoy seamless in-suite check-in and the discreet attentiveness of a personal butler. For those seeking bespoke touches, curated wine and whisky tastings can be arranged, alongside private dining experiences tailored to personal preferences.

Since its original opening in 1996, Cape Grace has earned its reputation as the best in town, hosting luminaries from around the world. Following its extensive redesign by globally renowned interior studio 1508 London, the hotel continues this legacy while the Cape Grace Suite marks another milestone in its exciting new chapter.

HOW: Rates for the signature Cape Grace Suite start from $10,000/£8,000 per night. www.capegrace.com
