This Spanish photographer began as a documentary and journalist photographer, shooting everything from truck drivers and gypsies. Fashion photography was not his original plan, but after a friend asked him to do a fashion shoot, he realised it was a natural progression.

What makes an incredible fashion photographer? He answers that question himself,” With fashion, I love that every story needs a fresh approach. I love the challenge of finding a new inspiration and direction each time to make a great story. My wife is my main muse, but inspiration can come from many places: music, film, art, a particular exhibition… it depends on the mood. I love other disciplines, but for now photography takes all my creativity.’

It is story telling. The thing we as humans have been sitting around fires sharing for centuries. There is nothing if there is not a story. A picture must ask your brain, why? Where are they? A movie must start in your mind with viewing the image. Otherwise why bother? There are so many images out there, why bring another thoughtless images into an oversaturated world.

It begins and ends with a story. And that is what makes a photographer great.
