District Vision Opens Flagship Store in Los Angeles
District Vision announces the opening of its first permanent flagship at 939 S Santa Fe Ave in the Los Angeles Arts District, bringing the brand’s product, research, and community into a single space for the first time since its inception.
Conceived as a hybrid retail and research environment, the store operates as a retail store by day and a space for meditation, movement, and learning after hours. Located alongside the brand’s office and warehouse, it serves as both an operational and cultural center.
The modular interior, developed with SR Studio, supports product launches, collaborations, and community programming. SR is a global design studio merging European design sensibilities with American brand-building expertise to create innovative spaces, products, and brands.
The space includes technical eyewear service, a coffee and hydration bar, and a dedicated area for classes and events. Materials include custom aluminum displays, hinoki wood, vintage Japanese ceramics, and native California plants. The design reflects the brand’s long-standing relationship with Japanese engineering – where all District Vision eyewear is produced – expressed through a restrained, zen-like sensibility and attention to material detail.
The flagship houses District Vision’s full product offering – eyewear, apparel, and accessories – alongside ongoing collaborations with partners including New Balance and POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF).
Programming is central to the space, with regular running, breathwork, and meditation sessions forming part of the brand’s ongoing research into “human technologies”.
Founded by Tom Daly and Max Vallot, District Vision remains fully independent and founder-operated. Established in 2015 following early meditation workshops for runners, the brand develops performance products informed by mindfulness, with a focus on Japanese engineering and craftsmanship.
