Frederique Constant Classics Moneta Solarmetre

Frederique Constant Classics Moneta Solarmetre

Light as power, elegance as form

Frederique Constant unveils the Classics Moneta Solarmetre, a refined addition to its Moneta collection that marries elegant Swiss watchmaking with discreet solar‑powered innovation. Powered by the new FC‑120 solar calibre, developed by La Joux‑Perret Manufacture, the watch runs on light while keeping its technology hidden beneath the dial. It offers up to ten months of autonomy in complete darkness, restarting after just ten seconds of exposure. One minute of light provides enough energy for a full day’s use — a quiet revolution in horology.

This model marks several firsts for the Maison: its debut solar‑powered watch, the first Classics Moneta in a 39 mm case, and the first to feature a grained‑effect dial. The design retains the collection’s retro‑modern codes — a slim case, fluted flange inspired by the edge of a coin, dauphine hands, faceted indexes, and a discreet date window. The grained dial comes in three hues: ice blue, burgundy, and cloud white, each radiating understated sophistication. Supplied with both a leather strap in alligator pattern and a Milanese mesh bracelet, the Solarmetre offers two interchangeable styling options, balancing tradition with versatility.

The Classics Moneta Solarmetre is more than a timepiece; it is a statement of modern sustainability, a watch that hides its innovation beneath timeless design. It speaks to Frederique Constant’s philosophy: that elegance and technology can coexist seamlessly, creating watches that are both enduring and quietly transformative.
