H&M teams with Nick Knight and SHOWstudio
H&M&YOU&I, London Fashion Week A/W 2026
On 17 September, H&M unveiled its most elevated Autumn/Winter collections at an immersive London Fashion Week event, creatively directed by Nick Knight and produced through SHOWstudio. Soundtracked by Labrinth, the show starred Alex Consani and Archie Renaux, with appearances from Myha’la, Tems, and Cruz Beckham among the 700 guests.
A Painterly Opening
Brazilian ballerina Ingrid Silva opened the runway — a 40‑metre stage activated by choreography — before Consani arrived in a cropped ivory jacquard jacket layered over lace, slim trousers, and cream heels. This romantic first drop of H&M’s womenswear collection was an ode to historical opulence.
Knight’s Vision
Nick Knight’s direction united influences from across the arts, creating an emotional, human experience that blurred fashion and technology. “This show is a celebration of creativity, and of human relationships. I wanted to create something romantic, emotional, human and painterly, all while experimenting with new technologies,” Knight explained.
Cast and Collections
Models including Paloma Elsesser, Karen Elson, and Lila Moss showcased the three womenswear drops: romantic opulence, sculptural minimalism, and collector’s spirit. Menswear was elevated through the sharp silhouettes of the H&M Atelier line.
Interactive Innovation
Anchored in themes of human relationships and technology, SHOWstudio developed a fashion interactive merging physical and digital worlds. Curved mirrors and a video installation by Karyn Nakamura framed the runway, while models interacted with illustrations by Cliff Warner, choreographing visuals in real time.
Music and Performance
Labrinth’s score culminated in a live performance of I Want to Know What Love Is, preceded by Consani and Renaux’s spoken‑word reinterpretation of the lyrics. Consani wore a ruffled cream gown, Renaux a full Atelier look — together embodying the show’s theme of human connection.
Access and Afterparty
H&M opened access via social media ticketing, livestreamed pre‑show content hosted by Leomie Anderson and Julia Hobbs, and closed with an afterparty featuring Kim Petras b2b with u.r.trax, alongside Foundation.FM’s community DJs.
Availability
The H&M Atelier collection launches in South Africa on 8 October, followed by the H&M Studio collection on 15 October. The seasonal A/W collection will arrive locally in March 2027.
