Marilyn Monroe at The Beverly Hills
Sanctuary, glamour, soufflés in her name
At the heart of Hollywood’s mythology lies The Beverly Hills Hotel, Marilyn Monroe’s longtime sanctuary. She found refuge in Bungalows 1 and 7, dined regularly at Table 6 in the Polo Lounge, lounged poolside beneath California’s sun, and returned throughout her career — even filming Let’s Make Love on‑site with Yves Montand.
Bungalow 1 has since been redesigned in her honor, transformed by Champalimaud Design into a living tribute to Marilyn’s charisma. Curved furniture, gold‑leaf ceilings, colorful travertine stones, and Jean‑Michel Frank influences create an atmosphere that is feminine, playful, and sophisticated. The suite spans 160 square meters, with a private patio, a spacious living room with fireplace, a walk‑in wardrobe, and a marble bathroom complete with whirlpool tub and outdoor shower. Guests discover whimsical nods to her life and roles, from a curated library of Marilyn’s films and books to CHANEL N°5 toiletries and a champagne bubble bath experience that recalls her glamour.
Bungalow 7, another of Marilyn’s favorite retreats, carries the aura of the Golden Age. Its interiors echo mid‑century Hollywood, offering guests the chance to inhabit the same spaces where legends once lived. Together, these suites form a constellation of memory, each corner whispering stories of her presence.
For the month of June, the hotel celebrates Marilyn with irresistible tributes. “Soufflés are a Girl’s Best Friend” reimagines her beloved hot fudge sundae as a Maraschino‑Vanilla soufflé with hot fudge and whipped cream, served at dinner in the Polo Lounge. The “Marilyn Mimosa” sparkles with Piper‑Heidsieck Cuvée Brut, her champagne of choice, blended with Grand Marnier, fresh orange juice, and brandied cherries, available at both the Polo Lounge and Cabana Café.
From sipping her signature champagne order to dining at Table 6, guests can retrace Marilyn’s footsteps. Checking into the Marilyn Monroe Suites is not simply a stay — it is an immersion into timeless glamour, where Hollywood’s most luminous star continues to shimmer across generations.
