Rouge Dior On Stage shines a light on luxury in SA
Dior Illuminates The Sandton Skyline
On Thursday 18 September, Dior made a bright and bold statement by lighting up South Africa’s richest square mile and the heart of the city’s commerce and cultural space.
n an unforgettable unveiling, the iconic beauty brand announced the launch of its new generation lipstick, Rouge Dior On Stage. Through an electrifying display of lighting, lasers, and projection, one of Africa’s tallest buildings – The Leonardo – came alive with brilliantly illuminated artwork that could be seen across the city.
For decades, Dior has defined global conversations on beauty and fashion. Their new lipstick, characterised as audacious and unconventional, dares its wearers to be different. Enhancing the lips with ultra-wear shine and intense comfort, Rouge Dior On Stage delivers a creamy texture that hydrates the lips for 24 hours[1], ensuring a colour that does not fade or smudge, and is ready to shine in the spotlight.
Born from Dior’s revolutionary double-phase technology, Rouge Dior On Stage debuts in 10 shades – from subtle nudes to femme-fatale reds – with a cutting-edge formula that delivers both long wear and supreme comfort. Its elongated silhouette is crafted for an ultra-melting, sensorial glide, while the signature silver cannage motif crowns the design with unmistakable Dior elegance. At its centre, the reversed CD logo signals a bold new era for a lipstick that defies convention.
Taking a page out of the new lipstick’s book, Dior in South Africa is showing up in a beautifully unexpected way, one that is both chic and daring.
“Dior has always been a symbol of timeless beauty and Parisian elegance, says Armine Anders, General Manager of Dior Beauty South Africa. “With the launch of Rouge Dior On Stage, we are not only introducing one of the brand’s most exciting creations, but placing it firmly in the South African spotlight.”
Igniting the city skyline each evening from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday to Sunday 21 September, the illumination of Dior celebrates the convergence of global luxury with a local, vibrant cultural energy.
Rumour has it that this is just the opening act.
