Step right up to a world where luxury pirouettes with imagination, and wonder is always dressed in designer. The Luxurious Marble Circus is back - brasher, bolder, and even more beautifully bizarre than ever before. Set against the majestic backdrop of Ground The Venue in Muldersdrift, the 2025 edition promises a two-day whirl of magic, music, and magnificence from 4–5 October.
Last year, the Dossier team - Mia, Johan, and myself - had the absolute pleasure of attending this sensory spectacle first-hand, and let me tell you - it was anything but ordinary. From the moment we arrived as media guests, it was clear this wasn’t just a festival - it was an intentional immersion into a fantasyland curated with opulence and precision. We sipped Moët backstage, nibbled on gourmet delights in the artist holding area, and were taken on a meandering tour through a world where no detail was spared and no indulgence denied.
My highlight? The Pantry Playground - a whimsical garden oasis that looked like it had been plucked straight from a royal daydream. Lush greenery, luxe picnic lounging, and foodie treasures as far as the eye could see. Between bites and beats, we found ourselves dancing to South Africa’s top musical talents, fully swept up in the magic of the moment.
And now, the enchantment returns.
The Luxurious Marble Circus 2025 is doubling down on the delight. The iconic three-story stage is being reimagined - bigger, brighter, and bursting with theatrics. Saturday’s sonic journey will dive from Disco to Deep House, while Sunday’s rhythm rides through Amapiano, Afro-soul, and melodic mood-makers that will move your feet and feed your spirit.
But honestly, this isn’t just about the music. It’s a playground for the fabulous - a curated constellation of “amazifying” areas and immersive wonder-zones. Back again is Playground in the Field, inspired by Pantry, now with five new tasting menus. From sushi to soft serve and surprise BBC Food collabs, every bite is a passport to pleasure.
Craving a cocktail with a twist of theatre? Find your way to the Uncaged Carousel, a zoomorphic bar inspired by Zioux, where Schweppes meets showmanship. Or sip your way through the Johnnie Walker Bar Extravaganza, Veuve Clicquot Vista Veranda, or the ever-so-dashing Don Julio and Vilafonté Wine Bar.
Expect delightful detours and high-octane highlights, including The Wheel of Wonder by Investec, a fantastical Ferris Wheel offering panoramic magic. Savanna’s Fantastical Forest makes a cheeky return, Fabiani’s gentleman’s league brings the leisure, and Heineken’s F1 fantasy is ready to rev your fashion engines.
Looking for true opulenza? The Marble Tents are your golden ticket. Imagine fine dining al fresco with David Higgsand a curated roster of guest chefs. The Grand Dining Room (in collaboration with Moët Chandon and Hennessy) and The Royal Lounge (with Don Julio and Johnnie Walker) elevate the idea of a VIP area - think private tables, dreamy views of the stage, and Serenity Stations where hair stylists and beauty mavens stand ready to refresh and bedazzle.
And for the fashion-forward? Welcome to the Luxurious Marble Circus Emporium, a new addition set to dazzle. A treasure trove of curated merch, one-of-a-kind collectibles, and upcycled couture masterpieces. It’s trash-to-treasure meets runway fantasy.
